**if you can, please bring some NEW mens’ and/or ladies’ gloves and socks so that we can bless our city’s homeless this winter. Ralph and Glenda’s Home Group will be handing out the gloves and socks to Calgary’s downtown homeless later this month…and you are more than welcome to join them! Stay tuned for details!**

Additional Details: We are going to need all the help we can get with respect to planning & organizing this party! If you’re feeling the holiday spirit and would like to help by serving in one of the following areas, please contact info@uchurch.ca.

1. Activity Centres: Crafting, ornament making, card making, etc. If your small group has an idea for a fun activity centre, let us know!
2. Catering: As it would be great to provide lunch for attendees of our Christmas Party, we will need two home groups to volunteer for this area – one to pick up and/or prep the food, and another to set it/clean up on the day of the party. The catering options are endless…could be Subway party subs, could be a chili cook-off…let us know if you want to be involved with party catering!
3. Fun stuff for adults: Given that there is a beautiful hockey rink and outdoor fire-pit at the Parkdale Community Centre, let’s get a game of hockey going! Want to organize it? Let us know!
4. Drama: Are there members of your home group who are gifted in drama and want to help present the Christmas message in a unique way? If so, email us!
5. Any other creative ideas you have for making this party a blast? Please chat with your home group and let us know how you can be involved!

Victory Foundation (http://www.victoryfoundation.ca/) – The Victory Foundation is committed to Calgary’s working poor, citizens on fixed incomes, and people who live on the city’s margins. Their goal is to put up a ‘fence’ in order to keep people from falling into the ‘ditch’ of homelessness.

The Mustard Seed’s “Home in a Bag” – plenty of the guests that stay at the Mustard Seed carry all of their belongings in one bag.  Many of these bags are in bad condition.  Click here to find out how you can participate in this year’s “Home in a Bag” program!

Where: Meet at the Redings House… 49 Tuscany Hills Bay NW

The Plan: Meet at Redings at  6:00pm. We will be going tobogganing at Turtle Hill (Hawkwood/ Ranchlands area) from 6:30-8pm and will be back at the Redings for more partying from 8:30-10:30pm.

What to Bring: Warm clothes, a sled (if you have one), and a $5 gift for our fabulous gift exchange game
