This team of 8 missionaries was UChurch’s most diverse mission team to date – at least age wise, with the youngest participant being 19 years old and the eldest at 96 ½ years young. Though this team did a lot of “work” while they were in Tobago, they proclaim that the LORD through prayer did the greatest “work”. As the team interceded for others, God used them to deliver prophecies, through words and through pictures. Breakthroughs were made, relationships were healed, and God’s presence was felt by all. The team was a testimony of how much God desires and blesses unity in diversity. Age makes no difference! All believers are a part of the Body and are essential to its proper functioning! As this team lived out this message, the elderly in Tobago were greatly encouraged and the younger generations were reminded of the great value of the elderly.

UChurch and the EveryNation church in Montreal teamed up for this trip to minister in Tobago. The size of the team, 18 members in total, afforded the opportunity to minister in a multi-faceted fashion. Intercessional, artistic, musical, business, and medical expertise was applied as the love of God was shared with the islanders. Although a lot of strategic and practical service took place, encouragement seemed to be the common thread of this ministry opportunity. Many were encouraged to pursue their God-given dreams and destinies – this applies to both the Canadian missionaries and the Tobagonians.

A team of youth ranging from grade 9-12 ministered in Tobago over the course of two weeks. In addition to serving in the local orphanage and hosting children’s and sports outreaches, the team focused their time on HIV and AIDS education, awareness, and prevention (namely Jesus!!). They were trained by Cause Canada and came equipped with a life sized puppet show and interactive seminar. The outreach was not only significant to the people of Tobago but also very eye opening to the young people who served on the trip.

Please pray for:

- unity between the teams

- a focus on Jesus and to be able to spread His message of love in simple and practical ways

- health and protection

- open doors to the community

- that the Holy Spirit would guide us and reveal His will during the mission trip

UChurch Loves Ice Cream

A couple weeks ago, we encouraged people to have banana splits for lunch to support the Tobago Missions Team. Dessert lovers were asked to pay whatever they wished for a made-with-love banana split. The Tobago team raised $1000!!

Thats a lot of ice cream. Or maybe just a lot of generous people. THANK YOU!

Or perhaps we should we say “Merci Beaucoup!”… The raised funds specifically went to support the Montreal team’s participation in the Tobago Trip.
