The Sierra Leone mission trip has been a great time for God to move amoung the team and in the people they touched. Today the team is in Freetown debriefing and processing the experience of the last week and a half. Here is what their team leader wrote about their last day in Sierra Leone:

“Tonight was our farewell party. They overwhelmed us with gift after gift after gift. All bought by people out of their pockets. How can people who have so little give so much? Its because we miss the fact that they are rich. Rich in love and God. They made several of our team members honourary chiefs tonight and gave them robes and hats to match”

Although the end to this trip Sierra Leone is near, please continue to pray. Pray for the team members who will now begin their journey back to Canada, as well as for the team members who stayed on the ground in Canada all along. Pray for protection and for grace for them to process what has happened together.

Pray as team members transition back to life here in Calgary, and that what God has imparted to them will not be lost or forgotten. Pray for travel mercies and joy and peace.

And lastly realize that many of them will be returning home to family members who have not shared this experience and that processing and sharing will occur with patience and grace.
