From June 11-21, 2009, a team of students and young adults embarked on a multi-faceted trip to serve the people of Unitedville, Belize. They partnered with a family of missionaries who have served the people of Belize for the last decade. The heartbeat of this mission was to come alongside them and bless the local people with time and labor by:
- Building the foundation for a new pre-school in Unitedville
- Coaching the local school children in their schoolwork and basic literacy skills.
- Facilitating small groups for the village teens.
Many youth in Belize have encountered Christ but have no idea what it means to have a real, ongoing relationship with Him, resulting in little change in their lives. The vision of the Belize team was to inspire these teens to live for Christ because we believe He wants to transform them – and us as well.
