Watchmen for the Nations

Watchmen for the Nations was founded by Pastor Bob Birch in the early 1990s in response to God’s call to stand on guard for Canada.  Watchmen is a family of Christian believers from many regions, denominations, ethnic backgrounds and spheres of influence (local church, itinerant ministry, business, politics, media, education, arts) who share a common heart cry was to see the glory of God fill the church of Canada like the waters cover the sea.

“Years ago God told Canada through Yongi cho that this was the nation that would unlock the destinies of other nations. Given our strength or ability, at best this is laughable by any human measurement. Even Yongi did not believe it was possible. God repeated it again to him years later. As we all know, it is not by our strength or effort that could do anything – ONLY God can fufill His words by his spirit. Let there be no allusions, it has to be by His spirit having his full way in us. To unlock anyones destiny, never mind other nations, it first starts with the change agents being changed.  To unlock a destiny even for ourselves, our communities, will require that all things that hold back such a destiny be released/broken/freed.”

“Since ten years ago, our nations has come a long way…

““Our journey is far from over but we have seen some amazing changes,” says David Demian. “God led us into a national repentance ten years ago that transitioned our nation from judgment to His favour.  Then corruption in political circles started being exposed eventually leading to a change in government.  In a recent interview our Prime Minister was asked how he thought historians would judge him.  He answered that he really didn’t care what the historians said; the only thing he cared about was God’s judgment of his life. This same Prime Minister has transformed Canada into one of the strongest allies of Israel on the world stage.  Our economy has dramatically improved with our dollar almost at par with the US.  And during the recent economic collapse, Canada was recognized as having one of the strongest, most stable banking systems in the world.  The separatist movement in French Canada has dissipated.  And just over a year ago, our government initiated a historic repentance to the aboriginal peoples of Canada, for abuses they suffered at the hands of our government.””
