Amy Reding was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta where she studied at both SAIT and the U of C. She graduated in 2017 with a Bachelor of Communication Studies and a major in print Journalism. She loves to travel and communicate; and that love has taken her everywhere from Mongolia to Maui. Not too long after graduating God quickly drew her into full-time ministry. She is currently putting her writing talents to use as a ghostwriter for EN Pastor and life-coach John Rohrer, as well as creating content for her own blog. Amy is passionate about communicating God’s love in everyday language that speaks to her generation. She wants to continue to see God transform a generation with written words.
During her degree Amy also took a gap year, attending YWAM Maui. On that island she discovered a love for the Hawaiian and Micronesian youth, working alongside New Hope Maui in the local communities. She has since returned to Maui 5 times; serving as a church intern, leading a UChurch short-term team, and building relationships in the local church. This spring Amy is moving back to Maui to once again serve in the low-income communities, mentor youth in the public schools and university campus, and serve the local church.
If she isn’t cooped up writing in a coffee shop, you can probably find her outside! Amy loves camping, hiking, snowboarding, and surfing, or really anything in the sunshine.
