In case that sounds weird... Consecrate simply means: to devote or dedicate to some purpose.
Hey UChurch!
I would wager that a year ago, most of us would have never predicted what transpired in 2020. This year will have even more unknown territory to navigate through.
In it all, I would also venture to say that our heavenly Father knows what is happening and is completely committed to continuing the transformation within us so we can thrive regardless of the external circumstances. Jesus reminds us of an important promise:
When He, the Spirit of Truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on His own; He will speak only what He hears, and He will tell you what is yet to come." – John 16:12-13
The invitation is to take some time in the upcoming week to abstain from things like entertainment, social media, food (if physically wise/able), in order to make space to listen to 'the spirit of truth' for ourselves personally, and also to connect with others.
Jesus describes what making space is:
"Here's what I want you to do: Find a quiet, secluded place so you won't be tempted to role-play before God. Just be there as simply and honestly as you can manage. The focus will shift from you to God, and you will begin to sense his grace... This is your Father you are dealing with, and he knows better than you what you need. With a God like this loving you, you can pray very simply." Matt 6:6-8 MSG
God clearly desires and delights in speaking to us, leading us and transforming us for more than simply 'getting through' this season (although that's part of it!).
While I personally anticipate taking this time to 'be still and know' (Ps 46:10), I am also looking forward to connecting with others - catching up, hearing crazy stories from this intense season and encouraging one another.
Obviously, connecting in person would be better, but virtual is all we have at the moment...
Throughout the upcoming week, there will be some opportunities to gather online in the evenings where we can connect from the comfort/craziness of our own homes. And who knows... breakout groups may actually break out. ;)
I know evenings can be busy, but it would be great if you could pick even one night to join the fun and show your face. Details on the times and themes will be posted on the website under events.

If you would like a prayer guide to follow for the week, our Every Nation family has put together a devotional component for the new year.
Here's an encouraging read that could accompany your bible reading. Many who have read it say it gives language, describing the transformation we've been going through individually and corporately: 'Entering into Promise and Inheritance by Stephen Hill.' https://www.ancientfuture.co.nz/free-ebook-entering-into-promise
