“Always be joyful. Never stop praying.  Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus. Do not stifle the Holy Spirit. Do not scoff at prophecies, but test everything that is said. Hold on to what is good.” – 1 Thess 5:16-21

‘In the last days,’ God says, ‘I will pour out my Spirit upon all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy. Your young men will see visions, and your old men will dream dreams. In those days I will pour out my Spirit even on my servants—men and women alike—and they will prophesy’. – Peter’s declaration to on the birth of the church Acts 2

Dear Church,

Tonight and this coming Sunday we will be coming together corporately during our fasting time with a view to ‘hear’ everything God would desire to speak to us.   Last week we were asking God if we were to fast corporately and if so, for what purpose. He affirmed yes, and made it clear that the purpose was both encouraging us to simple be with him, and secondly it would be a time when he reminds us of what he has already spoken to us as a community – our birthright, his heart towards us.

With that in mind, tonight we will set our hearts collectively in a corporate time listening to him speak to us.  To prepare, continue to read this long post, it contains some of the excerpts of prophetic words God has spoken over us in the recent past.

There is something very sobering, humbling and exciting when God’s children come together for times of prayer and fasting.  The reasons to gather corporately may vary, but the outcomes are consistent. God’s will is done on earth as it is in heaven when hearts are postured to hear from God.

As we gather tonight and this Sunday remember that the unity that marks us as part of his church, His family, cannot rise out of charity, compromise, or concession. It rises only out of people who are seeking to be changed into God’s image. As God is changing me, I find tremendous compatibility with others he is also changing. Without even trying, I’m suddenly aware of their needs and how I can help, and I’m also conscious of the insight they can add to my life and how we together are being formed into His family.  For people hungering after God, opening their lives to others is not a cumbersome obedience but a valuable resource of encour¬agement, strength, and confirmation.

It is in these spaces dependent upon his spirit, that we grow increasingly into the people he is transforming us into – his image – his family. And as his family, we have been built together with a purpose. Each one of us has part to play..

“God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another.” – 1 Pet 4:10
“He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love.” – Eph 4:16

For brevity sake, find below a few ‘excerpts’ of prophetic words shared with  UChurch by various leaders from the larger body of Christ over the past few years – (full transcripts are available upon request including those of going back 15 years). All of the words haven been ‘tested’ and prayed over within the leadership within UChurch and have been found to be clearly from the lord.  Prayerfully read these excerpts and posture your heart to hear what the spirit is saying to us all…  we together are the church…

—————————————————————–
“As we were in worship I was asking God about this house in particular and I feel, as I’ve already mentioned, that this is an apostolic house, that this is a mother church. What do I mean by a mother church? This church like the church in Jerusalem that is specifically ordained by God in your birthright to conceive and to nurture and to bring to birth many kingdom mandates – that would be mission outreaches, church planting, kingdom businesses, creative arts, musicians, all kinds of things that you will sow into the wider Body. You are a Jerusalem church. You are a mother church. You will always be pregnant, and conceiving, and travailing, and bringing things to birth.  You’ll be sending and it’s not about having everything within these 4 walls. It is about sowing it to Canada and to the nations of the world.”

“I think they have a very, very healthy DNA going on here and what God showed me is that this church here on this campus – and I believe you are where you need to be – is like a greenhouse.  It is a rarified environment where exotic plants from around the world are brought in, they are potted and they are nurtured, and they are protected, and they are watered and the light of the sun is shinning on them and it’s is a rarified environment. But, they’re not meant to be here permanently. They are not meant to be planted forever in this house, but that they are meant to be sent back to the nations of the world, sent back to other cities in Canada, and be the transplanting of the Lord and trees of righteousness in many places..”

“I’m putting this out as an invitation. This house can take this up or not. You can choose whether you want to make this a priority or not, but God says he’s willing to invite you to be a United Nations for the kingdom here in Calgary, such as we have in Geneva, or New York… If God’s people, called by His name, would humble themselves, and seek his face and pray and hear from heaven, you could change the history of Canada, and you could change the history of the world. Is anybody here?”

“80% of you sitting here right now are called to leadership. 80% of you are called to leadership, you are called to be leaders in your churches, in your cities, in your nations, in your industry, in your business, in your sphere of influence. Brant, 80% of these people are leaders and you’re going to sow into them, and you’re going to equip them, and you’re going speak vision to them and help them get into their birthright but they’re not going to stay here. You are going to sow them out to the nations. This is a sending church, the word apostle means, “sent one”. This is an apostolic house as God, the Father, sent Jesus into the world, the great apostle of our confession. Jesus said “as the Father hath sent me, even so send I you!” This is an apostolic house. It’s a greenhouse. Many of you are here for a season. You have, maybe, 3 or 4 years to sow into these exotic, beautiful, rare, valuable plants that are not meant, maybe, permanently to be in Calgary. Some of you are permanently planted in this house and you the pillars, and you are the elders, and you are the overseers of the greenhouses, but many will come and many will go, and the sphere of influence of this apostolic house is global, and you have authority in the heavenly realms as God’s United Nations, right here in Calgary, if you should choose to receive that.”

“Now I sense that the foundation of intercession is not laid anywhere nearly for that kind of governmental, apostolic, Queen Ester style of intercession. You’ve got some work to do if you’re going to fulfill that calling, but I’m saying God is offering that to this house, if you want it.”

As much as I can, I want to encourage Brant and Jen in this calling. I believe this is one of the healthiest churches I’ve been in across Canada and I’ve been in every city from Halifax to Vancouver you know, and everything in-between – all 10 provinces – I believe this is a cutting edge, new wine skin, happening, world changing, apostolic, thriving, Christ centered, Holy Spirit filled, wonderful, family!

What the Lord spoke to me through that is this: historically what has been emerging through your church is that is it going to be a healing Centre, vitally required for the healing of the nations. And In this, there was going to be a dispensation released by God where he was even going to draw some older veterans of the faith, some other people with a similar passion of like of seeing.., just like it says in Malachi that last great move of God’s Spirit in that day was to restore the hearts of the father to the sons and the sons to the fathers.

Even there will even be some people that will move, partner with you, some statesmen in some of these fields and they’ll want to join you, and they’ll want to be a part of what you’re doing. I see you moving, I see you moving off the place where you are now. I see men offering either lands to you, or buildings to you (note Ellel received land/building in this time frame!) ….God wants to divinely show that this was something that has been forming in the supernatural for many years. Even though it might have been in individual hearts and this was “I had a pre-disposition to love this form of ministry”, there is something so far superior, that’s above in the Spirit, that it’s going to, when this all comes together, and piece by piece begin to fit together and men by men begin to compliment one another.

One of the great monikers that will be over the Calgary church is an amazing blend of both young and old working seamlessly in cooperation, and this is a unique thing. It’s rather unique within the church, but in that [uniqueness] it’s going to be a sign, it’s going to be a sign because when there is that cooperation between the generations, that has already said that generations have chosen to work in and without their issues, with their stuff, with their world views, with their point of views and in that harmony necessitates a price, a price of patience, a price of labour together, a price of understanding, of men walking together in unity. When that generational unity is fashioned together, the Bible declares the blessing of God is poured out in a manifest way. And there will become a growing identity as the age of the church grows and Calgary will be known. (Psalm 133)

The Spirit of the Lord has tried to do this in other places within the country, but for whatever reason, there wasn’t the available vessels, and there wasn’t men that were willing to be patient to heed the call. But in this dynamic, I have collected a group, because this is deeply on the heart of the Father, the heart of the Father to restore the Son.

And so, in this, be not surprised when you see men migrating together, when you see things done supernaturally gifted to you, when you see people coming from afar, and outside of the country, to come and to be healed and to be set free, or broken men that were famous at one time to come to have their lives repaired. Know this, it’s a sign, it’s a sign that is necessary for the sweeping of the gospel from Vancouver to P.E.I. to everything, your ministry within this place is required for the healing of this nation, in Jesus’ name.

Calgary is an Olympic training centre, and there is going to be youth coming out of Calgary who are going out like green beret special forces –leaders who are going to be raised up.

God is going to increase the ethnic diversity of the church – strategize for it, believe for it, pray for it, look for it. There is going to be an expansion of diversity of vocations. There is going to be an acceleration of the diversity of vocations hitting the church –some is going to come through students that graduate and are placed.

The growing up, the adolescence is gone. There is a maturity coming, walk into it, there is a door to walk through in this hour. Even though God has given us a strategic place within the university that is going to be the heart beat of what we do but at the same time God is going to supernaturally place people in all walks of life and one of the things that is so exciting is that the anointing is not just limited to people being campus ministers. God is going to put His anointing for full-time ministry into every walk of life… God is not calling us to be cookie cutters –He is not calling everyone to conform –God is setting people aside who are going to be joined in. God is going to give us influence in every dimension, in every sector. Jesus Christ is Lord of all and practically He wants His Kingdom, He wants His disciples in every sphere of life, in every sphere of society.

“New thoughts entered my prayer and I saw UChurch as God plans. UChurch is to be a place of healing, both physically and spiritually. The thoughts persisted but I thought I was dreaming it up when Dr. Steve prophesied that it was God’s plan. I was thrilled at the confirmation.” – Aunt Olive

“You are moving in what I would consider the cutting edge, things that God is speaking to the body of Christ about, actually around the world. You are aligning yourself with God’s design, with God’s word, with what the Spirit is speaking to the Church in this hour, and so I have great expectations for this house, because you, as best you know, are providing for God that new wine skin, that he needs, that can contain the new wine. And I’m all about the new wine! “It’s not by might, it’s not by power, but it’s by MY Spirit, says the Lord,” and so I believe that the Church should be the vehicle through whom Holy Spirit works, in the earth. And not that that’s locked in to the local church, but from the church, out over the threshold of the temple, a river of living water flows into the streets of the city and touches all other 6 mountains. You folks are familiar with the 7 mountain revelation?”

Background:  In 1975, Bill Bright, founder of Campus Crusade, and Loren Cunningham, founder of Youth With a Mission, had lunch together in Colorado. God simultaneously gave each of these change agents a message to give to the other. During that same time frame Francis Schaeffer was given a similar message. That message was that if we are to impact any nation for Jesus Christ, then we would have to affect the seven spheres, or mountains of society that are the pillars of any society.

These seven mountains are business, government, media, arts and entertainment, education, the family and religion. There are many subgroups under these main categories. About a month later the Lord showed Francis Schaeffer the same thing. In essence, God was telling these three change agents where the battlefield was. It was here where culture would be won or lost. Their assignment was to raise up change agents to scale the mountains and to help a new generation of change agents understand the larger story.

“God is saying that for His greater kingdom purposes, he has planted UChurch at a strategic intersection here in Calgary on PURPOSE for such a time as this, and, is this 25 years you’ve been ..?  So you’re in and around the 25 year anniversary… what is the 25 year anniversary? What is the color of Silver symbolic of? Silver is the color of redemption.  You were redeemed with 30 pieces of silver, really, were you not? The price paid for Judas betrayal and so on… Silver is always prophetically the color of redemption.  God is saying that he is come to UChurch starting this year, and Brant and Jen and Katie and I are kind of on a journey together, looking at Brant’s apostolic calling and Jen’s prophetic calling, really the apostolic mandate on this house is not only national, it’s international. I’m not trying to rush the process; Brant and Jen get to walk this through as God leads them and as they feel comfortable, but there is an international mission assignment, God is coming to redeem everything that he’s invested in you thus far, and if you’re willing, the invitation is coming to you saying, “come up higher, take your place as a national voice, begin Fathering this nation and recognize that you are an intersection – a kingdom, strategic intersection of people, gifting’s, anointing’s, revelation, mission teams, 7 mountain leaders, all kinds of kingdom wealth and influence passing through your gates on a regular basis.”

“Are you getting this picture?  Do you believe that this is God? “

“I have a feeling that he is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that you could ask or think. I think some of you thought that UChurch is an exciting local church, and it’s an honor to be a part, and it is that, but it’s so much more than that. The people that pass through, just even coming on a Sunday once, and I know that you have students that are with you 2 maybe 3 years, and then they’re gone, they are sown into the nations, because you have that diversity, that’s the Lord’s doing. Every voice, every nation under heaven was all in Jerusalem on the day of Pentecost, why?  So that as the Church was birthed, and as God reversed what happened at the tower of Babel, where he confounded their speech, and now as the Church is being born he cause everyone to hear the words in their own language, which was the reverse of the confusion around the tower of babel. You guys, you are already an assembly of various tribes and tongues and peoples, why is that? Because you are a crossroads, because all those people are going to carry what you impart to them, and the transport trucks laden with technology and food and creativity and prayer, and whatever, and it’s going to go to the 4 corners of the earth. I don’t know if you understand how jealous God is over this intersection.”

“About the power lines. You have had a measure of signs and wonders and demonstrations of spirit and of power. But if you will continue to lay a foundation in prayer, if you will continue to deepen the bonds of trust and unity among you…. you cannot pass 500,000 watts of power through a 100,000 watt cable, you understand what I’m saying?”

“The infrastructure for the power lines needs to be stepped up several notches. Because God wants New Testament, apostolic power being released through this intersection called UChurch.  And power to heal the sick, raise the dead, preach the gospel, cast out demons, bring the Kingdom, shake foundations, like I’m talking apostolic and prophetic power that is without limit.”

“The power lines. The infrastructure’s being put in place and I’m here to say, “well done!” You’ve done well with the power lines you’ve had in place, but God wants to install a number of very heavy duty transformers, and I don’t know the vocabulary cause I’m not wired that way (no pun intended), but there’s a whole “stepping up” that God is offering to UChurch, but you have to have the vision that God has for you.”

“And now I’m going to make intercession on behalf of cities and nations that are waiting for UChurch to come. That are waiting for the young men and women that you will commission. And Brant, I really do believe that one of your major gifts as an apostle will be to commission, literally thousands of end-time harvesters who will go in business to communist nations, or as nurses to Muslim nations, or .. you know what I’m saying? Covert, but with a Kingdom mandate to work with God, the Lord of the harvest, to bring in the harvest of nations.”

“And I’m not forgetting about Calgary, obviously UChurch has an assignment to Calgary as a city, and you’re doing that wonderfully.  You are changing the spiritual climate of Calgary. Do you understand that?  You ARE changing the spiritual climate of Calgary.
You ARE making a difference; you ARE being an encouragement even to other churches and other leaders. I know because I talk to them, and if you don’t mind, I boast about you a little bit.  I brag on you. And they’re watching you. It’s really important for you to remember that people are following you apostolically as you are following Christ. And I want to echo John Hutchinson’s word that it’s all about Jesus, it’s all about keeping him the center, and so on.”

“The Cross is supposed to be lifted up in the midst of all of these roads and power lines and highways of commerce and everything at this intersection, the Cross must be central. Forgiveness is offered at the cross. The blood is released and applied at the cross. Reconciliation with God and man happens at the cross. Principalities and powers are spoiled and made an open show at the cross. You have to preach the cross, you have to live the cross.Every one of you leaders here have to take up your cross daily and follow Jesus and model that for all these amazing leaders that God has given to you at this Cross roads. I mean that on purpose Cross-roads. It’s the cross.  Paul says “in the cross of Christ I glory. I want to know one thing among you, Christ and him crucified.” That’s it. That’s the power of the gospel. I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it’s the power of God unto salvation. And every highway that crosses your path, every truck laden with goods, every young student full of potential . And these are world changers that God is sending to you. These are history makers God is sending to you. God is sending them to you. They do not stumble through your door by accident. They are hand-picked. God has brought them at a great cost and great effort on their part, academically and whatever, to get to Calgary this entrepreneurial city where this Crossroads exists, to sit under the shadow of the cross, however many years they’re under your Fathering and Mothering, under your discipleship, and that power of the cross is meant to sweep over their lives and deliverance and healing and sanctification and empowerment and a purity and kingdom values are meant to be communicated to them while they’re with you so that as Brant and others commission them to the nations that they go fully empowered to be a part of that harvest.  The waves, I want to call them shock waves, what do you call them.. the ripple effect of what goes out from UChurch, I’m speaking now international.”

“People are waiting for what God is doing through UChurch. And you must not miss your day of visitation; you must not miss and diminish or not really identify the high calling that God is putting on UChurch. I am not overstating the case, I’m understating if anything, words fail me and I don’t want to leave here today, this historic day with UChurch, not fully communicating what I see in the Spirit showing me about your future. Katie and I are absolutely thrilled and honored and blessed and exited about connecting with UChurch. We do not have a governmental agenda per se.  You are already connected with a phenomenal apostolic organization and everything I see of this mother organization I like, the books the people the flow the dynamic. But I believe that UChurch is going to become a prototype that that whole organization will look to.”
