New Beginning’s

By: Dwight Van Middlesworth

Isaiah 43:18-19 (NASB) Do not call to mind the former things, or ponder things of the past. Behold, I will do something new, now it will spring forth; will you not be aware of it? I will even make a roadway in the wilderness, rivers in the desert.

As dusk approaches on this calendar year and with the dawn of a new year on the horizon we are entering a season with a new beginning for UChurch. I can think of no better timing than for the release of the highly-anticipated connection and digital platform: the launch of our newly re-vamped website.

This remodelling brings with it a new look and a fresh image to build upon the well-established work God has been doing in our midst for many years since it was first started, some 25 years ago.

Like most new beginning’s there is a time of change for those who are involved. It is a time to move from where we were and into where we are now and where we are headed. It’s a time of excitement as, in one sense, there is a fresh, clean canvas before us and we all have the privilege of being the one’s to paint the first brushstrokes, to write the opening words for this new chapter, or to sing the first song lyrics.

This new website launches a new season for our church, and subsequently, for us who call UChurch our church family. Ecclesiastes 3 teaches there is a time for every activity under heaven. With this new occasion upon us there are many seasons that apply to us: a time to build, to laugh, to dance, to gather, to embrace, to speak, to love, and a time for peace. I am looking forward to the many ways God will use us all in this new season!
